Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
ClipTok ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what
information is involved when you use the app and how it is used. ClipTok is an
independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any
third-party platform whose content you may access; all trademarks belong to their
respective owners.
1. Information we collect
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name,
email address, or passwords.
- Links you paste or share: to fetch the media you request, the
link you provide (by pasting it, sharing it to the app, or using the home-screen
widget) is sent to our resolver server. It is used only to retrieve that media and
is not used to identify you.
- Clipboard: when you open the app or tap the widget, it may check
your clipboard for a supported link and auto-fill it to save you a step. This
happens entirely on your device — clipboard contents are never sent to us or
stored, anything that is not a supported link is ignored, and you can turn this off
in Settings.
- On-device processing: tasks such as combining video and audio for
HD downloads, extracting audio for MP3, and trimming clips or creating GIFs run
directly on your device; nothing is uploaded for this.
- Downloads, history and collections: the files you download and
your in-app history, favorites, and collections are stored only on your device and
are never uploaded to us.
- Advertising data: we show ads through Google AdMob, which may
collect your advertising ID, device information, and usage data to serve and
measure ads.
2. How we use information
We use information only to operate the app, fetch the media you request, display ads
that keep the app free, and maintain and improve the service.
3. Advertising and third parties
Ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC). Google may use device identifiers and
usage data to show personalized or non-personalized ads. Learn more in
Google's Privacy Policy and
Google's partner
policy. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.
4. Permissions
- Internet and network access: required to resolve links and
download media.
- Storage (Android 9 and below): required only to save downloads
to your device.
- Notifications: used to show download progress and completion,
including downloads that continue in the background.
- Modify system settings (optional): requested only if you choose
"Set as ringtone", solely to set a saved audio file as your ringtone.
- Clipboard: read only to detect a copied link and auto-fill it for
you (auto-paste and widget); the check runs on your device and nothing is
uploaded.
- Advertising ID: used by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads.
5. Data retention
Your downloads, history, favorites, and collections remain on your device until you
delete them or uninstall the app. We do not keep your pasted links after the media is
resolved.
6. Children
ClipTok is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data
from them.
7. Your choices
You can reset or limit your advertising ID in device settings, turn off auto-paste,
delete downloaded files and history at any time, and uninstall the app to stop all
data processing.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission
over the internet is completely secure.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date above shows the latest
revision.
